After six years of meticulous reconstruction, the Konventa Sēta Hotel in Old Riga has officially reopened its doors on May 16, marking a new chapter in its history. This monumental project, completed at the end of 2023, has transformed the historic hotel complex into a modern haven while preserving its rich heritage. Now, the hotel boasts six fully renovated buildings, 161 high-end design rooms, and five versatile conference rooms perfect for both business events and private celebrations.
The renovation of the Konventa Sēta Hotel goes beyond a simple facelift. It encompasses a comprehensive interior redesign, an overhaul of all building facades, and the construction of access ramps to ensure inclusivity for people with disabilities. The project also included the complete rebuilding of internal engineering networks and the replacement of external communications. Inside, our guests find a refreshed interior design that seamlessly blends contemporary aesthetics with historic charm.
Exciting dining options have also been introduced: the Two More Beers restaurant and the Cruffins design café, both adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the hotel. Special attention has been given to the hotel’s landscaping to maintain its historic ambiance, picturesque streets and the inner yard, making it a true gem in Old Riga.
The Konventa Sēta Hotel is now part of the Keystone Collection, the newest hotel chain by AmberStone Hotels. Managed by Keystone Management, this chain is set to expand with a new 4-star Carillon Aparthotel currently under construction, and another 4-star hotel planned for Old Town. This expansion reflects AmberStone Hotels’ commitment to providing exceptional hospitality experiences. AmberStone Hotels was established in 2016 to oversee its hospitality ventures. The group owns and operates several prestigious properties, including the Konventa Sēta Hotel, Rija VEF Hotel, and Rija Old Town in Tallinn. With a focus on delivering high-quality hospitality services, AmberStone Hotels continues to set new standards in the industry.
The successful renovation of the Konventa Sēta Hotel is the result of a collaborative effort by several key players. The general contractor for the reconstruction was Pillar Contractor with architectural expertise provided by Palast Architekten, AS, and Pillar Architekten, SIA. The interior design, crafted by Vilnis Mičulis, beautifully integrates modern comforts with the hotel’s historic character.
The grand reopening of the Konventa Sēta Hotel not only revitalizes a historic landmark but also sets the stage for future growth and innovation in hospitality. Whether you’re visiting Riga for business or leisure, the newly renovated Konventa Sēta Hotel offers an unparalleled experience that honours its past while embracing the future.
